A playground is for everyone. Any age, any background. You can explore, push a project, or just have a good time. The name is that idea. You try something, it falls over, and you try it a different way.
The dinosaur is a joke with a point. Ham radio has a long history, and that history stays. What does not stay is the idea that the hobby is finished, or that a new way of doing it does not count. If a build fails, it stays in. That is part of the play.
Ham Radio Playground started with a simple idea: make ham radio fun, hands-on, and open. What began as a passion project turned into a place to experiment and find things out.
Builds, playful tests, and newer tools, set next to a hobby with a lot of tradition. The aim is curiosity, for someone just getting in and for someone who has been on the air for years.
Ham radio should be as fun as it is useful. A lot of people meet the hobby and decide it is old, hard, and closed off. It is not, once you are in.
The mission is to make it an adventure. Antenna builds, gear, how-tos, and experiments, written so a new licensee or someone who has been on the air for years can both use them. The slogan is Making Ham Radio Fun. Keep the contact and the discovery. Leave the closed club behind.
This is a community, not only a YouTube channel and not only a website. Learn something, try a project, or pass one along. Wherever you are in the hobby, there is something new to find. The playground is open.
